FAQ

When can you stain the Tilt-Up Walls?

After 28 days the slab is cured and ready to be stained.  The walls need to be sandblasted by an experienced sandblaster before our arrival. The most important thing to know about a concrete stain is “what you see, is what you get.”   Staining will beautify and enhance the natural aspects of the concrete, but it will NOT hide or cover up any imperfections or construction errors. Re-Crete tries to use the imperfections in the concrete to give the wall a natural look, but staining is a translucent process. Concrete staining is not an exact science, due to the content of the chemicals in the concrete, the color, the intensity and the depth of penetration may vary greatly. Our work is artistic in nature and no exact results can be guaranteed. Exact colors and stained patterns cannot be achieved and it is fundamental that all parties involved understand this. Your invoice will be based on the work performed and not the aesthetic results.

What colors do I have to choose from?

These stains are custom colors.   If you see a color on the internet please remember that colors will vary greatly depending on the computer.  We will need a physical color to match with.

How much time is needed to complete my project?

The time needed to complete a project depends on many factors such as the size and scope of the project, weather conditions, and product availability. Typically we can complete a 10,000 sq ft project in less than 5 days.

How do I maintain a hardened concrete floor?

These floors just need basic housekeeping on a regular basis. If you want them to be stain-resistant we can add a sealer later during construction for an additional cost.

How much does this cost?

The cost will vary depending on the scope of your project. The variables in pricing your project will include square footage, mobilizations, and geographical location.
